The best locations for brand photography in Surrey
One of the questions I’m asked most often when planning a brand shoot is:
“Where should we take the photos?”
The location you choose plays a big part in the overall feel of your images. Some businesses want something calm and minimal, others prefer something more urban or creative.
Luckily, Surrey has some fantastic options. Here are a few of my favourite locations for brand photography sessions around Guildford.
Guildford Content House
Guildford Content House is my own content studio and one of the most versatile locations for brand photography.
The house has been carefully styled with content creation in mind, with several different rooms offering different looks and lighting throughout the day.
The aesthetic is Scandi inspired with a vintage twist – wooden floors, soft fabrics, plants, artwork and colour pops that create beautiful, natural backdrops for photography and video.
Because there are so many styled corners, it’s easy to create a whole bank of content that looks like it was shot in multiple locations.
This space works particularly well for:
• coaches and consultants
• creatives and makers
• personal brands
• social media content days
Guildford Harbour Hotel
For clients looking for something a little more polished and contemporary, the Guildford Harbour Hotel can be a fantastic option.
The interiors have a modern, boutique hotel feel with clean lines, soft lighting and beautifully styled spaces.
It works particularly well for:
• corporate professionals
• consultants and speakers
• wellness brands
• lifestyle brands
Hotel settings can add a slightly more elevated feel to brand photography while still feeling relaxed and natural.
Coppa Club
Coppa Club is one of my favourite locations for brand shoots with a relaxed, social feel.
With its warm interiors, natural textures and beautiful light, it creates a setting that feels natural and welcoming on camera.
This location works beautifully for:
• creative entrepreneurs
• lifestyle brands
• coaches and community-focused businesses
• people who want a relaxed café-style setting
It’s perfect for capturing the kind of content that feels like a natural glimpse into your working day.
Chantry Woods
If you love the idea of natural, outdoorsy imagery, Chantry Woods is a beautiful location just outside Guildford.
Tall trees, soft woodland light and open spaces create a calm, organic backdrop for photographs.
Outdoor locations like this work particularly well for:
• wellness brands
• coaches and therapists
• creatives
• anyone wanting a softer, nature-led aesthetic
The changing seasons also mean this location looks different throughout the year.
The graffiti tunnels near Guildford station
For something a little more urban and creative, the graffiti tunnels near the station can be a brilliant choice.
The colours and textures create a completely different energy to woodland or studio settings and can work beautifully for more modern, creative brands.
This location works well for:
• creative entrepreneurs
• artists and designers
• musicians or performers
• brands wanting a slightly edgier feel
It’s always fun to mix locations like this with something softer elsewhere during a shoot.
Tannery Studios
Tannery Studios is another great option when clients want a clean, creative studio environment.
The space offers beautiful light and simple backdrops that keep the focus on you and your work.
Studio locations like this work particularly well for:
• product photography
• personal brand shoots
• content creation sessions
• businesses wanting a minimal aesthetic
Soul Space
Soul Space offers a calm, peaceful setting that works beautifully for wellness brands.
The interiors are light, serene and thoughtfully designed, which makes them ideal for photography that needs to feel relaxed and grounded.
This location is particularly suited to:
• yoga teachers
• wellness coaches
• therapists
• holistic businesses
The environment itself helps create imagery that feels calm and authentic.
Choosing the right location for your brand shoot
The best location for your brand photography always depends on the story you want your images to tell.
Some clients prefer the flexibility of a styled studio space, while others love the personality that outdoor or lifestyle locations can bring.
Often we’ll combine two locations during a shoot to create a wider variety of content.
Planning your brand photography session
If you’re thinking about updating your brand photography and aren’t sure where to shoot, I’m always happy to help you choose a location that reflects your personality and your brand.
Surrey has so many beautiful options – sometimes it’s just about finding the one that feels most like you.
