So much love on my Marrakech photos … and SOOO m So much love on my Marrakech photos … and SOOO many questions. Here are my top tips for holidaying … ☀️ The airport queues are hideous. With young kids you might get a family lane. You can pre-pay to fast track. If ever there is a day to upgrade this is it! 🌿 We stayed in 2 family hotels - @iberostar and @barcelo.palmeraie . Both were great & All inclusive. Probably request a first floor room as some of the patio doors don’t lock. ☀️The food in the hotels was good. Not a huge choice for fussy eaters. Saying that our one fussy eater was the only one that wasn’t ill! There is no allergy awareness. Sesame seeds and nuts in everything. 🌿 Holidaying without kids? Lucky you! I would 100% split the trip between an all inclusive hotel and a Riad in the Medina (centre of Marrakech). ☀️ We downloaded the Get Your Guide app. Booked our hot air balloon trip through it and saved ££. @marrakech.dream.ballooning - Hard recommend. There are loads of tours - camels ride, desert quad biking. 🌿 The big hotels offer a shuttle bus into Marrakech. The best way to travel. The roads are like a real life game of Mario Kart! ☀️ Make sure you have a paper map as you won’t want to get your phone out in the middle of the square or small streets. It’s a labyrinth! 🌿 The divide between the rich and poor is huge, sad and overwhelming. Its easy to forget this until outside the hotel gates when you quickly realise how hard life must be. I saw tourists hiding their watches etc. I should imagine there are parts where you could become unstuck if you were unlucky. We were not hassled at all - however we walked with purpose! ☀️I would absolutely go back to Marrakech. We mooched about & visited the Medina, Jemaa el Fna (main square) and the Secret Garden. The Yves Saint Laurent Garden is supposed to beautiful as is the Bahia palace. Have you been?
