How Studio Content came about

The story behind our workshop for business owners

Studio Content started in the same way many good ideas do — in conversation.

Claire and I had been working with business owners for years, each in our own way.

Claire as an Instagram coach, helping people understand how to show up online and connect with their audience.

Me as a brand photographer, helping people feel confident being visible in their business through images and video.

And we kept seeing the same thing.

So many brilliant business owners had amazing ideas, thoughtful services and strong values… but they struggled to show that consistently online.

They knew they should be posting.
They often had lots of photos saved on their phone.
They had half-written captions sitting in drafts.

But something was missing.

The gap between content and confidence

Claire was helping people with strategy and messaging.

I was helping people with imagery and visual storytelling.

But we realised that what many people really needed was both things working together.

The confidence to show up, the clarity of what to say, and the visuals that made their brand feel real.

We started talking about how helpful it would be to bring those pieces together in one space.

A day where business owners could learn, experiment and create content in a relaxed environment — with guidance from both sides of the process.

That conversation eventually turned into Studio Content.

The first workshop

When we ran the first Studio Content workshop, we didn’t quite know what to expect.

What we discovered very quickly was how powerful it is when people are given the time and space to focus on their content.

The room filled with ideas, laughter and those lovely “oh that actually makes sense now” moments.

People experimented with photos and video.
They practiced showing up on camera.
They worked through messaging that felt authentic to them.

By the end of the day, phones were full of new content and the energy in the room was completely different from when the day started.

Why we love running Studio Content

What we love most about Studio Content is seeing the shift that happens for people.

At the beginning of the day, many people feel unsure about how to show up online.

By the end, they’re sharing ideas, filming reels, writing captions and supporting each other.

It becomes less about trying to “do Instagram right” and more about sharing your work in a way that feels natural and human.

And that’s really the heart of Studio Content.

Helping business owners feel confident showing up as themselves.

What happens next

Studio Content continues to evolve as we meet more brilliant business owners and see the different ways people want to share their work.

But the heart of it remains the same.

A relaxed, supportive space where strategy, creativity and community come together.

Because content is always easier to create when you don’t feel like you’re doing it alone.
