One of the things I love about brand photography is capturing people in the spaces where they naturally work.
Recently I photographed a yoga teacher based in Surrey, and it was a lovely reminder that the best brand photos often come from the simplest moments.
Planning the shoot
Before the shoot we talked about how she wanted her brand to feel.
Calm.
Welcoming.
Grounded.
Her classes are all about helping people slow down and reconnect with themselves, so it was important that the photographs reflected that same feeling.
We chose Soul Space as the location, a beautiful yoga studio with soft natural light and a peaceful atmosphere.
During the shoot
Rather than carefully posing everything, we focused on capturing the natural rhythm of her practice.
Rolling out the mat.
Moving through gentle flows.
Moments of stillness between poses.
Those quiet, in-between moments often create the most authentic images.
The result
By the end of the session we had a collection of images she could use across her website, Instagram and marketing.
Photographs that show not just what she does, but the calm environment she creates for her clients.
And that’s often what brand photography is really about — helping people feel the experience of working with you before they even step through the door.
